Fenix BC30 V2.0 bicycle flashlight
The second generation of the Fenix BC30R rechargeable bicycle light delivers a luminous flux of up to 1800 lumens (ANSI) and a range of up to 161 meters. It is powered by an internal Li-ion battery with a capacity of 5200 mAh / 3.7V, which is charged via a micro USB connector directly in the lamp . The light source is two modern Cree XM-L2 U2 diodes with a warmer shade of light (neutral white). The advantage of this shade of light is a more natural and contrasting color rendering in the field. The lamp uses the proven dual light direction technology "Dual Distance Beam System". The main cone of light is created by specially designed optics and shines into the distance, while the secondary wide cone of rays is completed by an optical element, which is shaped in the upper part so that the light directed upwards refracts downwards to the ground. This creates a cone that smoothly illuminates the entire space in front of the bicycle - even in places that ordinary bicycle lights do not cover.
The remote cable switch has been improved , now it can be used to turn the lamp on, off and switch between power modes. The new handlebar mount design is characterized by lower weight and faster assembly without the use of tools. The mount allows for quick removal of the lamp, so it can also be used as a high-performance hand light. The mount can be used on all handlebars with a diameter of 22 to 32 millimeters .
There are a total of six digitally controlled power modes, including a warning flash. The bike light also features an informative OLED display that shows the battery charge level, selected mode, and remaining light time. The Fenix BC30R bike light provides you with quality lighting for night training, regular commutes, and endurance races.
All parameters of the lamp (luminous flux, battery operating time, water resistance and afterglow) are measured in accordance with the ANSI/NEMA FL 1-2009 standard.

Using the Fenix BC30R Rechargeable Bike Light
By pressing the top button when the lamp is off, a four-segment battery charge indicator appears on the display. The lamp is turned on and off by pressing the top button for 1 second. Once the light is on, the lighting modes are switched with the plus and minus buttons, the flashing mode is activated by quickly pressing the top button twice. The display shows the number of the selected mode and the remaining lighting time. The lighting time in high mode is updated once a minute, in lower modes it is updated once every 5 minutes. The lamp can also be fully controlled with a cable switch . Connect the cable switch with the connector to the socket on the bottom of the lamp. The socket is equipped with a rubber cap, which must be opened before inserting the connector. Use the Velcro on the switch to attach it to the selected place on the handlebars. The lamp can be turned on and off by holding the button with the square symbol for about half a second. Short presses of this button can be used to cycle through the lighting modes (except flash mode). Holding down the button with the flash symbol activates BURST mode for a maximum of 20 seconds (for the duration of holding the button) or the highest available mode. BURST mode can be activated even when the flashlight is turned off. If the remaining lighting time drops below 30 minutes, the upper button will start flashing red. The flashlight will then gradually automatically switch to lower power modes to ensure the longest possible runtime. If the battery is critically discharged, it will switch to flash mode. In such a case, we recommend charging the flashlight as soon as possible to prevent the protection electronics built into the batteries from switching off and the light from going out.
Charging
- Lift the rubber cover of the micro USB connector on the bottom of the flashlight and connect it to a computer, USB mains adapter or USB car adapter using the included USB cable. Alternatively, you can use any mobile phone charger with a micro USB connector to charge.
After plugging in, the flashlight will start charging. The display shows the battery charge status and the button flashes green.
The flashlight can be used while charging, but only the lowest mode of 50 lumens will be available. - When fully charged, the button lights up green, not flashing. Charging time is approximately 5 hours.
- The Li-ion batteries used do not suffer from the memory effect, so the flashlight can be recharged at any time.
Notice
- Do not disassemble the sealed parts of the flashlight yourself, as this will void the warranty.
- If the power button is red and you cannot switch to higher power modes, the battery is discharged and needs to be charged.
- If the flashlight flashes or does not light up, it means the battery is discharged. Charge it.
