Introducing the Cannondale brand

The now legendary Cannondale brand was founded in 1971 in the state of Connecticut, USA , and was a household name. Named after the station of the same name in Wilton.
An important part of it is the name of Todd Patterson , a designer whose specialty was working with metals. And it was he who was behind the launch of the production of frames from aluminum, a revolutionary material at the time.
Another major achievement was the CAAD (Cannondale Advanced Aluminum Design) frames, which continued in various variations and improvements until the current offering.
There was no shortage of playing with combinations of materials, such as aluminum and carbon . Of course, the brand was not only aimed at the road, as evidenced by the first bike models with thicker tires, reminiscent of mountain bikes, already in 1984 .
In the 1990s, Cannondale entered the motorsports industry, producing off-road motorcycles and heavy-duty vehicles. It is thanks to this rich experience in a wide range of fields that the brand draws on in the development of e-bikes to this day.
The company's successes are backed by the names of athletes such as Tour de France winner Cadel Evans and Jaroslav Kulhavý, who rode for the Siemens team.
Also worth mentioning is the Elite XC World Championship , where Charlie Aldridge won the title last year.
