Monkey link is a system for easily connecting accessories, especially lighting, to bicycles using magnetic locks in one pull. Some Bulls e-bikes have Monkey link docking parts as standard equipment and can be used for direct installation. In this case, the components are powered directly from the e-bike battery and controlled from the display or control panel. On other e-bikes, Monkey link accessories can be installed after additional installation of cables and the appropriate seat clamp or stem MonkeyLink

Monkey link powered lights are compatible with Bosch, Brose and Shimano motors and all of these e-bikes can be fitted with Monkey link powered lighting systems. It should be noted that the frame of the bike is not always prepared for the passage and elegant hiding of additional wiring (for example, the Bulls Sonic EVO 1 in the photos has an extended seat tube with a channel with a passage into the engine compartment just for the wiring) and it may be necessary to route the cable outside the frame, which may not be possible or attractive.

Another popular use of the Monkey link system is to enable charging of external devices from the e-bike battery, if this is not allowed by the manufacturer, for example with Bosch (non-smart) motors and the Purion display used, which does not have a current output. The Intuvia display for Bosch does have an output, but it is limited to 500 mA (5 V -> 2.5 W power), which is not enough to maintain modern phones with navigation. Charging can be implemented in a similar way with Bafang motors with relatively little-used DPC11 or DPC14 displays (the most commonly used DPC18 does have its output)
