The powerful rechargeable Fenix BC26R bicycle light delivers a luminous flux of up to 1600 lumens (ANSI) with a range of up to 169 meters . It is powered by a replaceable Li-ion battery type 21700 with a capacity of 5000 mAh , which is included in the package and is charged via the USB-C connector directly in the lamp. The light source is a modern Luminus SST-40 diode. The specially designed optics create a very wide light cone that smoothly illuminates the entire space in front of the bicycle at an angle of 100°, so it shines even in places that ordinary bicycle lights cannot cover. The design of the holder allows for quick assembly and disassembly of the light on the handlebars without using tools, and the holder also allows for quick removal of the lamp, so it can also be used as a high-performance hand light. The holder can be used on all handlebars with a diameter of 22 to 32 millimeters. The Fenix BC26R offers a total of five digitally controlled power modes with up to 65 hours of battery life and even a flashing mode. Fenix bike lights provide you with quality lighting for night training, regular commutes and endurance races.

Using a bike light

There may be an insulating cap on the battery inside the flashlight from the factory. Remove it from the battery before first use.

To turn on or off, hold the side button for about 0.5 seconds. The flashlight always turns on in the last set mode (except flashing), you can switch to other power levels at any time during operation by pressing the button. To switch to flashing mode, press the button twice quickly.

Battery capacity indication (only applies when powered by a 21700 Li-ion battery) - when the flashlight is off, press the button once briefly, then the indicator LED next to the button will light up for three seconds. Green lighting or flashing indicates a battery charge of more than 50%, red lighting or flashing indicates 50% or less. The indicator LED also lights up when the flashlight is on , so the user is constantly informed about the battery status while riding.

Low battery warning - if the battery capacity drops below a safe level, the flashlight will automatically switch to lower power modes to ensure the longest possible runtime (the flashlight cannot be switched to higher modes after that). If the battery is critically low, the button will start flashing red. In such a case, we recommend charging the flashlight as soon as possible to prevent the protective electronics built into the batteries from turning off and the light from going out.

Intelligent overheating protection - after the temperature exceeds 60 °C, the flashlight will automatically gradually reduce power, after cooling below this limit, the highest modes will be available again.

Charging

  • Lift the rubber cover of the USB-C connector on the bottom of the flashlight and use the included USB cable to connect it to a computer, power bank, USB mains adapter or USB car adapter .
  • The button lights up red during charging, and turns green when fully charged.
  • Charging time is approximately 4 hours. The Li-ion battery used does not suffer from memory effect, so the flashlight can be recharged at any time.
  • While charging, the flashlight can be used in an emergency, but only in the lowest mode of 50 lumens.
  • After charging and removing the power cable, remember to seal the USB-C connector cap.

Notice

  • Do not disassemble the sealed parts in the lamp head yourself, as this will void the warranty.
  • If the protective rubber rings appear damaged after a long period of use, replace them. The rings should also be lubricated to prevent erosion of the rubber. Following these rules will ensure that the flashlight is properly protected against water.
  • If the flashlight is blinking, does not switch to higher modes, or does not light up, it may be for one of the following reasons:
    • The battery is almost empty, charge or replace it.
    • The contacts inside the flashlight are dirty - clean them with a cotton swab dipped in alcohol.
    • The battery cap is loose, tighten it.
