-Protects and is good maintenance. The fork is perhaps the most expensive component on your bike, so it makes sense to lubricate it. You wouldn't ride without a lubricated chain, would you? By using Fork Juice, in addition to lubrication, you also prevent dirt and dust from settling on the sliders = higher protection against scratches = less crap :) outside the fork = the fork will serve you longer.
